Airmax Shoreline Defense (formerly known as Pond Logic Shoreline Defense) is great for controlling cattails or any other plant growing above or out of the water. It should be applied directly to the foliage, allowing it to be absorbed by the weed, which treats the roots for long-term control. This pond and lake weed control product works great for beaches, shorelines, or anywhere emergent weeds grow. It can be used to control a variety of weeds, including cattails, phragmites, shoreline grasses, creeping water primrose, purple loosestrife, alligator weed, smartweed, lily pads, spatterdock, water lettuce, water hyacinth, and water shield.

When applying Shoreline Defense, it should be done while the target weeds are active and growing. The active ingredients in the product will be absorbed by the plant, travelling to the roots and destroying the entire plant. To apply, the desired amount of Shoreline Defense should be mixed with pond water in accordance with the label directions. Using a pressurized sprayer, the mixture should be sprayed directly onto the target weeds. Using Treatment Booster Plus can provide the best results.

Treated weeds will begin to brown and die. Once the weeds are completely dead, they should be cut and raked away to prevent an accumulation of plant decay and pond muck. Shoreline Defense carries no water use restrictions, making it a convenient and effective solution for pond and lake owners.

However, there are some state restrictions on the shipment of Shoreline Defense. It cannot be shipped to Alaska, Arizona, California, Canada, Connecticut, the District of Columbia, Hawaii, Maine, New Jersey, New York, Puerto Rico, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Washington.

Airmax Shoreline Defense is available in two sizes: a 32-ounce bottle and a 1-gallon container. The 32-ounce bottle can treat up to 10,000 square feet, while the 1-gallon container can treat up to 40,000 square feet. Both products are liquid formulations with no temperature restrictions.
